Do you plan our itineraries?
You betcha! From airport departure to airport return, your entire itinerary is taken care of. You don’t have to plan a single thing. We’ll do all the work, and you’ll have all the fun. Your entire day (or weekend, or even longer!) is planned and organized by our expert tour operators. Of course, we schedule free time for you to do your own shopping and exploring. But everything is planned from bell to bell, and that includes transport between the airports, ship ports, train stations, and bus stations. You are investing in a one-stop-solution for your travel needs.
Do you travel with us?
We sure do! Owner/Operators Grant & Marilyn Beldin personally go on many of our tours throughout the year and split operation time with a couple other wonderful couples who act as tour chaperone.
What kinds of tours do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of tours throughout the year, ranging from local weekend trips, to extended trips across the country, to international excursions! One of our most-popular trips is the “surprise” trip, where our customers sign up for a local excursion and don’t know where they’re going until we leave!
Are meals included in the cost of the tours?
This varies from tour to tour. Many tours include regularly-scheduled meals (usually two hearty meals a day). In any case, the specific tour details will outline what is included in each tour.
What’s the difference between your tour company and some of those “Internet-Only” travel companies, like Orbitz or Travelocity?
It starts with personalized service. Sure, you can package your hotel, airfare, and attractions through one of those websites. But after that, you’re on your own. With Philadelphians Group Tours, Inc., you’re traveling with a group of like-minded people who look out for each other. Life-long friendships are built. Lasting memories are enhanced. With us, you’ll have the peace of mind that you have a tour chaperone(s) with you on every tour, making sure you’re in the right place at the right time. We do all the worrying and you have all the fun!
You mention that this is a tour company for “retirement-age people”… can I bring someone who isn’t retired yet?
Of course! Many of our customers will bring their adult children, friends, nephews/nieces, etc… This is a company that caters its services to people of retirement age but all are certainly welcome. We even have awesome tours designed specifically for grandparents and their grandchildren!
You mention that this is a tour company for “Christian group tours”… what does that mean?
This company got its start back in 1980 while organizing church trips in the Portland area. Since then we’ve grown quite a bit. But our core principles remain. You don’t have to be a Christian to join us on a tour; we welcome all! But the atmosphere and activities we do are certainly based out of respect and reverence to the Christian faith. That means we have good, clean fun in a family-friendly environment.
